Hull joined Crestone from Altira Group, an energy technology-focused venture fund, where he served as General Partner and CFO. He was responsible for all internal financial aspects of the firm’s five investment funds and its related entities, including: finance, tax, investor reporting, legal, transactional and management. His responsibilities also included identifying and making new portfolio investments, investor relationships, investor fundraising and other operational roles.
Hull has held about a dozen board memberships, most as chairman at high growth, investor backed companies. In addition, Hull has held numerous operational roles with portfolio companies, ranging from CFO oversight to interim CEO. These roles allowed him to work closely with a number of portfolio companies to help accelerate their growth.
Prior to joining Altira Group, Hull was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand), where he helped launch the firm’s Entrepreneurial Advisory Services Group and provided an array of business advisory services – audit, tax, growth analysis, board support and other assurance services – to clients specifically selected for their IPO potential. His practice also focused on technology startup companies located on the West Coast.
Hull earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in accounting and economics from The College of William and Mary and is a CPA. He is philanthropically active in his local community, enjoys skiing and ultra-running, as well as spending quality outdoor time with his wife and two children.
