Jeffrey J. Burney
As a member of the Executive Leadership team, Managing Director of Client Advisory, and Shareholder of Crestone Capital, Jeff provides strategic guidance for the firm, oversees the Client Advisory team, and works with both existing and prospective clients. In addition to being responsible for the firm’s growth, Jeff serves as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and executives, providing the best solutions to meet clients’ financial and personal objectives. He is also a member of the firm’s Investment Committee.
Jeff’s passion and talent for developing long-lasting relationships and leading Crestone’s extraordinary Advisory team, extends to Crestone’s mission of delivering extraordinary wealth management services to select families seeking peace of mind through a Trusted Advisor relationship. Jeff provides ultra-high net worth entrepreneur and executive clients with personalized and integrated wealth management solutions, including holistic balance sheet advisement, investment strategy and implementation, concentrated position management, and wealth preservation and transfer planning.
Jeff brings a great deal of relevant wealth management experience from his ten years with JPMorgan Private Bank. Prior to his Executive Director position with JPMorgan in the Denver / Rocky Mountain region, Jeff resided in New York City where he worked directly for the Private Bank’s Chief Investment Officer to develop the firm’s investment strategy and oversee portfolio construction for $600 billion in client assets globally.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Economics from Ohio University in 2006.
Jeff and his wife, Sarah, are proud parents to their two sons, Hunter Donald and Brooks Nelson. Jeff’s community involvement includes serving on: the Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America’s Denver Area Council, the Professional Advisor’s Council of The Denver Foundation, the Advisory Council for CU Denver’s Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Programs Committee for Lakewood Country Club.
