Jeff Burney, Chief Strategy Officer, Crestone Capital
As the Chief Strategy Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership team, Jeff provides strategic guidance for Crestone, managing the firm’s sustainable growth and long term vision. In addition to being responsible for the firm’s overall growth, Jeff oversees Client Advisory and works with both existing and prospective clients, serving as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and executives, providing the best solutions to meet clients’ financial and personal objectives.

Jeff provides ultra-high net worth entrepreneur and executive clients with personalized and integrated wealth management solutions, including holistic balance sheet advisement, investment strategy and implementation, concentrated position management, and wealth preservation and transfer planning.
Jeff brings a great deal of relevant wealth management experience from his ten years with JPMorgan Private Bank. Prior to his Executive Director position with JPMorgan in the Denver / Rocky Mountain region, Jeff resided in New York City where he worked directly for the Private Bank’s Chief Investment Officer to develop the firm’s investment strategy and oversee portfolio construction for $600 billion in client assets globally.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Business Economics from Ohio University in 2006. Jeff serves on the Crestone Investment Committee and Impact Committee.
Jeff and his wife, Sarah, are proud parents to their two sons, Hunter Donald and Brooks Nelson. Jeff’s community involvement includes serving on: the Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America’s Denver Area Council, the Professional Advisor’s Council of The Denver Foundation, the Advisory Council for CU Denver’s Center for Entrepreneurship, and the Programs Committee for Lakewood Country Club.
Matt Wiles, Chief Operating Officer, Crestone Capital
As the Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership team, Matt leads the day-to-day strategic operations and management of the firm. In addition to being responsible for the firm’s growth, team, and culture, Matt is actively involved in investment and client matters and oversees Client Advisory, Operations, Accounting, Reporting and IT departments. In this role, he serves as a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and executives and helps provide the best solutions to meet clients’ financial and personal objectives.
During his tenure at Crestone, Matt has served as Manager of Client Advisory Services and Senior Client Advisor before being promoted to Co-Director of Client Advisory. Before joining Crestone in 2007, Matt was an Associate of Client Management and Portfolio Development at Mount Yale Capital Group in Denver, Colorado. Prior to Mount Yale, Matt worked as an equity trader and research associate at Unicom Capital, LLC, a Denver-based hedge fund.
Matt received his Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Colorado in 2001. Matt serves on the Crestone Investment Committee and Risk Committee.
